Public Profile

Customize how your organizer profile appears to donors and volunteers

Your public profile is what donors and volunteers see when they visit your organizer page. A complete, professional profile builds trust and encourages more people to support your campaigns.

Accessing Your Public Profile

  1. Navigate to your Profile Dashboard
  2. Click on "Public Profile" in the sidebar
  3. Or go directly to /profile/public

Profile Sections

Display Name

The name that appears on all your campaigns and public pages.

Best Practices:

  • Use your real name or organization name
  • Keep it consistent across platforms
  • Avoid special characters or all caps

Avatar Photo

Your profile picture appears next to your name on campaigns and messages.

Image Guidelines:

  • Size: Square format recommended (400×400px or larger)
  • File Type: JPG or PNG
  • Content: Clear headshot or organization logo
  • Quality: Professional, well-lit photo

Bio / About

Tell people who you are and why you organize relief campaigns.

What to Include:

  • Your background in disaster relief or community service
  • Why you started organizing campaigns
  • Your location or areas you serve
  • Any credentials or affiliations

Character Limit:

Keep your bio under 500 characters for best display.

Social Media Links

Connect your social media accounts to help people verify your identity.

• Website
• YouTube

Trust Factor:

Linking to established social media accounts helps donors verify you're a real person/organization.

Contact Information

Optional phone number and website for direct contact.

Your profile is accessible at:

dasig.org/u/[your-custom-slug]

How to Edit Your Profile

    Go to Public Profile page

    Navigate to /profile/public from your dashboard sidebar

  2. 2

    Fill in your information

    Update your display name, bio, social links, and contact info

  3. 3

    Upload your avatar

    Click the avatar placeholder to upload a profile photo

  4. 4

    Save your changes

    Click the "Save Profile" button at the bottom of the page

  5. 5

    Preview your public page

    Click "View Public Profile" to see how others see you

Profile Best Practices

Do This

  • ✓ Use a clear, professional photo
  • ✓ Write a personal, authentic bio
  • ✓ Link to active social media accounts
  • ✓ Keep information up to date
  • ✓ Use a custom URL slug

Troubleshooting

My avatar isn't uploading

Check that your image meets these requirements:

  • File size under 5MB
  • Format is JPG or PNG
  • Dimensions are at least 200×200 pixels

Try compressing the image or using a different file.

Changes aren't appearing on my public page

Make sure you clicked "Save Profile" at the bottom of the page. If you did save, try:

  • Refreshing your browser (Cmd/Ctrl + R)
  • Clearing your browser cache
  • Waiting a few minutes for changes to propagate
Can I hide my profile from public view?

Your profile is always public if you have active campaigns. However, you can control what information is displayed by leaving fields blank. Your email is never shown publicly.
