Getting started
- Do I need to be a registered nonprofit to use Dasig?
- No. Individuals can create a fundraiser without any organization behind it — you verify your identity and add a payout destination. Registered nonprofits, faith-based groups, civic organizations, and LGUs can additionally create an organization profile, which unlocks team roles and permissions, the CRM, email campaigns, volunteer management, certificates, and organization verification.
- How much does Dasig cost?
- Starting is free. The Bayanihan tier is ₱0 per month with full access to campaigns, the CRM, email, volunteer tools, and certificates. The platform is funded by a 2.5% Civic Sustainability Contribution on donations received rather than a subscription, so there is no invoice to approve before you start. - How long does it take to launch a campaign?
- Most organizers publish in under an hour. You describe what the money or help is for, set a goal, add a payout destination, and share the link. Verification runs in parallel and does not block you from publishing.
- Can my organization move its existing data in?
- Yes. Contact lists import by CSV into the unified CRM, and existing donors, volunteers, and organization members are synced into it automatically so each person becomes one contact record instead of appearing in three spreadsheets. Offline gifts — cash and direct bank transfers — can be recorded manually so they sit alongside online donations.
Donations and payouts
- What payment methods can donors use?
- GCash, Maya, credit and debit cards, and bank transfer. Donations are in Philippine pesos. Payment processing is handled by Xendit, a licensed Philippine payment provider.
- Do donors need an account to donate?
- No. Anyone can give to a campaign without signing up. Creating an account is optional and gives a donor a profile that keeps a record of what they have supported.
- How do payouts work?
- Funds settle to a payout destination you register — a Philippine bank account or an e-wallet such as GCash or Maya. You request a withdrawal from your dashboard and it is reviewed before release. You can save multiple destinations and choose one per request.
- Can I receive donations before my organization is verified?
- You can collect them, but they are held in escrow until verification completes. This protects donors from paying into an unverified account and is the reason verification is worth finishing early rather than after your first campaign goes live.
- Can donations be anonymous?
- Yes. A donor can hide their name from the public donor list. The organization still receives the record it needs for accounting and acknowledgement.
Trust and verification
- How does Dasig verify organizations?
- Organizations submit registration and identity documents — SEC or DTI registration, BIR documents, and proof of the authorized representative. Our team reviews them and the organization receives a verified badge on its public profile. Individuals fundraising personally go through identity verification instead.
- How do I know a campaign is legitimate?
- Check for the verified badge on the organizing individual or organization, read the campaign updates, and look at the donation record on the page. Every campaign shows what it has raised against its goal, and organizers post updates and receipts that stay permanently on the page.
- What do I do if I think a campaign is fraudulent?
- Send us the campaign link through the contact page and we will investigate. Campaigns can be unpublished and payouts frozen. Funds still held in escrow have not left the platform, which is why withdrawals are reviewed rather than released automatically.
- Can donors see where the money went?
- Yes. Organizers post updates, expenses, and outcomes to the campaign page, and the donation total and progress are always public. Transparency reporting is part of the platform rather than something an organization has to assemble separately.
Volunteers, members, and events
- How do volunteers find work on Dasig?
- Volunteers browse open opportunities by cause and by location, apply from the page, and track their applications in their profile. Participation stays on their record, so a volunteer accumulates a verifiable history across every organization they help.
- Can I issue certificates to volunteers and participants?
- Yes. Certificates generate in bulk from a list of recipients, each with its own verification code, so a recipient can prove the credential is real and share it. Free and paid events, training sessions, and volunteer programs can all issue them.
- Can I manage my organization's members and their permissions?
- Yes. Members are assigned roles — owner, admin, coordinator, member, or viewer — which control what they can see and change. You can also define named positions so your structure on the platform matches your structure in real life.
- Does Dasig handle events?
- Event hosting is in development, not shipped yet. Free and ticketed events with registration and check-in are the next major build, and you can join the waitlist from the events page. When it launches, free events will carry no platform fee and paid tickets will carry 5%, or 0% on the High Activity tier.
The platform itself
- Is Dasig only for disaster relief?
- No. Disaster response is one use case. The same tools run year-round work: scholarships, feeding programs, medical missions, community projects, church operations, training and certification, membership drives, and LGU initiatives. Relief coordination is prominent because Philippine civic groups need it often, not because the platform is limited to it.
- Does Dasig replace our CRM and email tool?
- For most Philippine civic organizations, yes. Donors, volunteers, and members share one contact record, and email campaigns send to segments of that record. You are not exporting from one system to import into another, which is where contact data usually goes stale.
- Is there a mobile app?
- The web platform works on mobile browsers, and a native mobile app is in development. Donating, volunteering, and browsing campaigns all work on a phone today.
- Who owns the data an organization puts into Dasig?
- The organization does. Contacts and donations export to CSV, and analytics reports export to CSV or Excel, at any time. Within your organization, who can see and change what is controlled by the role you assign each member.
