Dasig makes it easy for drivers and volunteers with vehicles to offer transportation help for your disaster relief campaign. The system creates a direct messaging channel between you and the volunteer.

How Volunteers Offer Transport

Find Your Campaign

Volunteers browse campaigns or see featured campaigns on the homepage transport spotlight section

Click "Offer Transport"

They click the "Offer Transport" button on your campaign sidebar

Send Message

A pre-filled template helps them describe their vehicle, capacity, availability, and service area

Direct Conversation Opens

You both get a 1:1 conversation thread to coordinate details

Receiving Transport Offers

When a volunteer offers transport, you'll receive:

  • A new message in your inbox at /profile/messages
  • An unread badge on your profile avatar in the header
  • Details about their vehicle, capacity, and availability

Coordinating with Drivers

1. Review the Offer

Check their vehicle type, capacity, service area, and availability. Make sure it fits your needs.

2. Confirm Details

Reply via messaging to confirm pickup/delivery locations, dates, times, and what needs to be transported.

3. Share Logistics Info

Provide assembly location addresses, contact numbers, and any special instructions.

4. Stay in Touch

Use real-time messaging to coordinate on delivery day. Messages update instantly.

Managing Transport Conversations

All transport offers appear in your messaging inbox:

  • • Access at /profile/messages
  • • See all active conversations with drivers
  • • Unread messages are highlighted with a badge
  • • Messages update in real-time (no refresh needed)
  • • Press Enter to send, Shift+Enter for new line
  • • Continue past conversations anytime

Best Practices

  • Respond to transport offers within 24 hours
  • Provide clear, specific locations and times
  • Share your phone number for day-of coordination
  • Confirm vehicle size matches your cargo
  • Thank volunteers for their time and effort
  • Post campaign updates showing successful deliveries
