Member Management

Invite members, assign roles, and build your disaster relief team

Understanding Member Roles

Dasig organizations use a role-based permission system. Each member has a specific role that determines what they can do within the organization.

Owner

Created the organization. Has full control including the ability to delete the organization.

Permissions: Everything (manage members, settings, campaigns, delete organization)

Admin

Senior leadership with nearly full control over the organization.

Permissions: Manage members, update settings, invite new members, approve campaigns, assign roles (cannot delete organization)

Coordinator

Project leaders who run campaigns and manage day-to-day operations.

Permissions: Create campaigns under organization, manage volunteers, coordinate logistics, post updates

Member

Regular members who participate in campaigns and activities.

Permissions: Volunteer for campaigns, view organization data, create campaigns if allowed by settings

Viewer

Read-only access to organization information.

Permissions: View organization data only (cannot create campaigns or manage anything)

Inviting New Members

Only Owners and Admins can invite new members to the organization.

  1. 1. Navigate to Organization Settings

Go to your organization's profile page and click the "Settings" button

  2. 2. Find the Members Section

Look for the "Members" or "Team" section in settings

  3. 3. Click "Invite Member"

    Opens the invitation form

  4. 4. Enter Details
    • Email address: Must be a registered Dasig user
    • Role: Select from Admin, Coordinator, Member, or Viewer
    • Custom title: Optional (e.g., "Logistics Coordinator", "Communications Officer")
  5. 5. Send Invitation

The person will receive a notification and can accept to join

Changing Member Roles

Admins and Owners can update member roles at any time:

  1. 1. Go to the Members section in organization settings
  2. 2. Find the member whose role you want to change
  3. 3. Click "Edit" or the role dropdown
  4. 4. Select the new role from the dropdown menu
  5. 5. Save changes

Removing Members

Owners and Admins can remove members from the organization. This action cannot be undone.

What happens when you remove a member:

  • • They lose access to organization settings and management
  • • They can no longer create campaigns under the organization
  • • Campaigns they created remain under the organization
  • • They remain in the system as a Dasig user
  • • They can be re-invited later if needed

Custom Titles

In addition to the system role (Admin, Coordinator, etc.), you can assign custom titles to members:

Maria Santos

Coordinator

Relief Operations Manager

Juan dela Cruz

Member

Volunteer Coordinator

Ana Reyes

Admin

Communications Director

Pedro Garcia

Coordinator

Logistics Lead

Viewing Members

All organization members can view the member list on the organization's public profile page:

https://dasig.org/orgs/[your-slug]

The member list shows:

  • • Member name and avatar
  • • Role within the organization
  • • Custom title (if assigned)
  • • Join date

Member Leaving

Any member can leave an organization at any time from the organization settings. The Owner cannot leave - they must transfer ownership or delete the organization.

Best Practices

  • Start with a small core team of Admins and Coordinators
  • Use custom titles to clarify responsibilities
  • Assign Coordinator role to active campaign leaders
  • Keep Admin role for trusted senior leadership only
  • Review member list regularly and remove inactive members
  • Communicate role changes and expectations clearly

Troubleshooting

Can't invite someone?

Make sure you have Admin or Owner permissions. Check that the email address is registered on Dasig.

Member didn't receive invitation?

Ask them to check their email and spam folder. They need to be logged in to Dasig to see the notification.

How many members can we have?

There's no hard limit. Organizations can have as many members as needed.
