I've been building toward this for a while. What started as a relief tracking system has become a digital bayanihan initiative to support not just civic organizers, but also volunteers and donors. Today, I'm excited to share our new home: Dasig.org.
Dasig started during crisis response efforts in the Philippines, but what we discovered went far beyond disasters. Most civic organizations still operate across disconnected spreadsheets, chat groups, donation forms, and manual coordination. Campaigns, volunteers, fundraising, communication, and reporting are often scattered across different tools with no shared system connecting them.
Dasig is being built as a shared operating system for civic action, helping organizations coordinate people, fundraising, communication, and real-world initiatives in one connected platform where every action automatically becomes usable organizational data.
The Story
In 2025, moments like the Cebu earthquake reminded me why we show up for each other. It wasn't just the scale of the need that stayed with me: it was the people on the sidelines. The kids handing water to passing volunteers, the families with placards of support, and the strangers sharing whatever they had with those rushing toward the crisis.
The bayanihan is real, but the work often gets fragmented across spreadsheets and group chats. Dasig started as a way to make that work easier to coordinate, easier to track, and easier to trust so the people helping can focus on the mission, knowing we have their back.

What does Dasig mean?
Dasig means "to support" or "encourage" in Bisaya. It's the action of standing by someone when they need it most. Civic organizations, volunteers, and first responders spend their lives supporting us. Dasig is our mission to support them.
Why Orange?
Orange on Dasig is deliberate: urgent enough for disaster response and campaigns, warm enough for people showing up for people. Action and care at the same time.

Road Ahead & Thank You
